US cable network TBS has given the greenlight to a new show to be produced by Steve Carell and his wife Nancy and star Rashida Jones.
It’s called “Angie Tribeca” and it’ll be the first starring role for the Parks & Rec actress/your fantasy girlfriend. She’ll play a veteran officer of the LAPD’s Really Heinous Crimes Unit (RHCU) who’s thrown together with an inept partner by her boss (Jere Burns of Justified & Breaking Bad). Classic TV police boss, right?
The pilot episode reportedly also features guest appearances from Lisa Kudrow, Alfred Molina and Gary Cole. And if you’re fan of watching Rashida Jones via shaky handicam, great news: like The Office and Parks & Recreation, it’s another single-camera comedy.
Unfortunately, you’re gonna have to wait till 2015 to watch it, but relax because it’s already May and it’s actually gonna be 2015 really soon?
