Sweet angels and former Parks And Recreation co-stars Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones are teaming up again to lend their talents to a brand new animated series called Duncanville.
The show, which was recently picked up for a 13-episode order by the Fox network, will be about “a spectacularly average 15-year-old boy” named Duncan, along with his family and friends.
Poehler, who is also a producer on the show, will provide the voice of Duncan as well as his “high-strung” mother Annie, who is “constantly trying to prevent her son from ruining his life.”
Rapper Wiz Khalifa is also set to star, although it’s unknown what roles he and Rashida Jones will play. The show is expected to premiere late next year, for the 2019-2020 TV season.
Amy Poehler will soon be seen in Wine Country, a film about a group of friends who travel to the Napa Valley for a birthday party, and which serves as something of an SNL reunion.
Maya Rudoplh, Tina Fey, Rachel Dratch, Paula Pell and Ana Gasteyer will star alongside Poehler, in a cast that also includes Jason Schwartzman and Cherry Jones.
Rashida Jones stars in the off-beat comedy series Angie Tribeca, will also feature in the upcoming animated version of The Grinch, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch (!) in the title role.
