‘True Detective’ Confirms Female Leads For Season Two

HBO have today confirmed the female leads for their much anticipated second season of True Detective. They are, in order of ‘Fetch’ from least to most:
British actress Kelly Reilly (Calvary, Sherlock Holmes), who will play a former D-list actress and an active partner in her husband’s (Vince Vaughn) criminal enterprises; and Rachel McAdams (no introduction necessary) who’ll play Ani Bezzerides, described by Variety as this season’s Rust Cohle:
“A Ventura County Sheriff’s detective whose uncompromising ethics put her at odds with others and the system she serves [who is expected to go] up against Colin Farrell’s Ray Velcoro, a corrupt detective ruled by [Vaughn].
Taylor Kitsch has also received final confirmation that he too will be joining the cast as “a war veteran and motorcycle officer for the California Highway Patrol on the run from a difficult past.”
Clear eyes, full cast, can’t lose. True Detective season two is slated for release in January.
