The wait on details of ‘True Detective‘ season two has been a long and arduous tease: the first teaser trailer for Nic Pizzolatto‘s highly-anticipated follow up was fleeting and free of any dialogue or discernible hints; and the most substantial new information we’ve received in the last week on the new season has been by the way of moody posters, and a guarantee that conspiracy theories will be far less rife in HBO’s upcoming instalment to its maiden season.
But today, a trailer with dialogue and with clues has finally dropped: featuring brief glimpses of each of ‘True Detective season 2’s key players: Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch.
What we can gather from the below sixty seconds? Vince Vaughn is our new Rust Cohle (“Sometimes your worst self, is your best self,”) Taylor Kitsch is our tortured, lusty soul, and Rachel McAdams should already win all the awards, bye.
