Viral YouTubes: Australians literally cannot get enough of that wonderful fluff if yet another end of year list of The Most X’d Y is any indication.
This one – unlike this one, this one, or this one – documents in unflinching detail the videos on which we wasted countless hours in the year MMXIV. These are the videos that captured Australia’s popular imagination; it’s also a shortlist of people on whom we can lay the blame for our least productive year to date.
Honestly though, who amongst us can say that they haven’t wiled away the hours until their inevitable death by watching ‘Play Doh Ice cream cupcakes playset playdough’ on loop; likewise a 54-minute ‘Wheels On The Bus’ compilation. Not many of us, apparently. Same deal with Frozen’s self-actualisation anthem ‘Let It Go’, a video of two British pre-tweens doing something [TBC], or a video of a Polish dog dressed as a heartwarming, terrifying arachnid.
