The Title Of The Next Star Wars Flick Mighta Just Been Sneakily Leaked

In a world where every aspect of a movie is spoiled massively by leaks and then the entire plot divulged in the trailer, Star Wars tends to be a little more ironclad – despite the fact we know a fair bit about Rogue One, for example, there’s still heaps we’ve got no real clue about.

Ditto the next film in the chronlogy – Star Wars Episode VIII. According to some online detective with clearly not much better do with their life, a bunch of registrations with the  European Union Intellectual Property Office suggest that the next film is going to be called Forces of Destiny.
‘Scuse the GIF but it’s a bit lame if true.

Buuuut it’s worth remembering that patent and trademark applications are at best a flimsy way of understanding the future of entertainment franchises – it could be the name of a new video game, or a new line of merchandising, or anything. Or nothing, for that matter.
It might just be the team of LucasFilm pegging down a title they might use for something in future. Either way, we’ll surely find out soonish: the movie should be landing on cinema screens around the end of next year.
