Stephen Merchant, the bespectacled and slightly less obnoxious half of the brilliant comedy team responsible for acclaimed mockumentary series The Office and Extras, has revealed via Twitter that he will be visiting Australia in December on a stand-up tour:
Merchant is stretching out his travel time Down Under – possibly to spend Christmas with the family of his Australian girlfriend Rose Byrne.
The tour dates are:

09 Dec 2012 Sun – Sydney Opera House Concert Hall
12 Dec 2012 Wed – Athenaeum Theatre Melbourne
