The Nintendo Versus Sega Battle Is Heading Big Screen-Side Via Seth Rogen And Evan Goldberg

If you have feels of a ‘Sega is better’/’NO, Nintendo is better’ nature, boy are you about to enjoy the sound of a movie that isn’t coming out for a while. Some dude, called Blake Harris, has written a book called ‘Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation’ which is about, exactly as the title suggests, the console wars between Sega and Nintendo that defined a generation.

Sony Pictures and their pet producer, Scott Rudin, of Social Network fame and riches have secured the rights of the book and have bought Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Pineapple Express, This Is The End, Superbad, Knocked Up) to write and direct the adaptation.

“Blake Harris draws on hundreds of interviews to present the first full account of this titanic corporate battle, which transformed computer games into a global industry that last year recorded sales of $50 billion (surpassing the film and music businesses combined).” Or so says Booktrade.info.

Here’s hoping for
