‘The Lion and The Rose’ Breaks ‘Game of Thrones’ Piracy Records

Monday’s episode of Game of Thrones, the second of the show’s fourth season and one of unprecedented consequence, ‘The Lion and The Rose’ has unsurprisingly broken torrent records for the most people sharing a file simultaneously via BitTorrent, with 193,418 wily Internet users sharing a single file and 1.5 million people downloading the game-changing episode in the first day alone.
According to TorrentFreak, these are “unprecedented numbers” that convincingly exceed last year’s record setting milestone, when 171,572 people shared on a single tracker the third season finale. This, reportedly, makes Game of Thrones a forerunner for the prestigious honorific of the most pirated show at the year’s end, with rates of piracy expected to increase as the season progresses.
Per data collated last week, the most Game of Thrones downloaders are still coming from Australia.
Ergo, You + Widow’s Wail x Pie [where Widow’s Wail = Your WiFiPie = Piracy Records and Doves = All The Phucks You Don’t Give]:
