As we speak, some dude on the internet is calling Lena Dunham an unfunny, overexposed hack in a comments thread. However, as this newly-released teaser for season four of Girls goes to show, nobody takes the piss out of Lena Dunham better than Dunham herself, and that’s why the rest of us love her so damn much.
The teaser features Dunham setting off on her bike, like a confident lady facing the day in a commercial for cold & flu tabs, before face-plating in fairly epic and embarrassing fashion. The upcoming season of the show features Dunham’s character Hannah at the Iowa Writers Workshop, and based on this teaser, we can probably infer that things don’t go so well there.
Production on the show’s fourth season wrapped last week, and we can expect it to air sometime early next year. The new episodes feature guest spots from the likes of Zachary Quinto, Natasha Lyonne, Jason Ritter, Maude Apatow and Gillian Jacobs.
