Get the magazines off the stand and chill the champagne, because Stan has just announced when The Bold Type will be returning to our screens for its fifth and final season, and I really don’t think I’m ready to say goodbye to this show.
Yep, after five heartwarming seasons, Kat Edison (Aisha Dee), Jane Sloan (Katie Stevens), and Sutton Brady (Meghann Fahy) will bid adieu to Scarlet Magazine. There’s been ups and downs, and at the end of season four we saw literally every one of our main girls pushed to their limit, so I’m keen to see where they go from here in the final season.
Nikohl Boosheri will also recur as fan favourite character Adena El-Amin, which is an extra reason to get excited.
When we left the characters, Kat had just launched her brand new podcast, Tiny Jane decided to push forward on her story about abuse in the workplace and Sutton and Richard split up, which was heartbreaking for everyone involved and everyone watching.
The Bold Type season five is going to drop on Thursday, 27 May, which gives you more than enough time to binge all four seasons which are currently on the streaming service.
“Their futures are bright, but their love and support of each other will never change,” said Stan about the final season, which is just cryptic enough to keep us on our toes. Keen!!

It’s going to be a big couple of weeks for the final seasons of huge shows, and I do not think I am ready for all the crying I’ll be doing.
