In its final week, The Block has turned into The Scarlet Letter of ‘Strayan reality TV, with star Suzi Taylor accused of scandalising the townsfolk via her lascivious behaviour, and allegedly “canned” from her promotional commitments.
Last week, it was reported that Taylor was hospitalised after being found collapsed on the set of the show, while preparing her apartment for auction. A ‘source’ – gotta love ’em – close to the production has since said, via News Corp:
“They’ve said she collapsed from ‘exhaustion’, but the exhaustion was also the result of non-stop partying throughout the Spring Racing Carnival.”
Following news of her hospitalisation, photos surfaced – and were subsequently published all over local media – showing Taylor partying topless on a boat after Oaks Day in Melbourne.
Speaking about the photos, the real estate agent told The Gold Coast Bulletin:
“I am a Gold Coast girl so I have grown up on the beach topless since I can remember. For me it was just being with a group of friends. I’d had a huge day and was a bit under the weather, but I am an exhibitionist and I am a fun-loving girl.”
A representative from Nine has since said that Taylor “will not be doing any press [for the show] until after the auction,” at which investors will bid big bucks for hastily-renovated apartments in South Yarra.
If nothing else, kudos to The Block for finding a way to drum up drama in the final weeks of its current season – affordable Scandinavian styling apparently just isn’t enough to bring the ratings in.
