Lana Condor‘s new gory series, Deadly Class, has copped a brand new teaser trailer and hoo boy, you definitely don’t want to steal her scrunchie now.
Like a lot of trailers unleashed this weekend, this new teaser for Deadly Class was part of the annual New York Comic Con.
Based on the American comic book series of the same name by Rick Remender and Wes Craig, Deadly Class welcomes us into the totally normal life of one Marcus Lopez – a teenager who’s new to King’s Dominion Atelier of the Deadly Arts, a school for keen wannabe assassins. The school is run by Master Lin and is filled with students from various backgrounds and crime families who all want their children to follow in their footsteps and become killers.
Marcus, played by newcomer Benjamin Wadsworth, is recruited off the streets so… he doesn’t quite have the same family connections as his new classmates. In a completely different environment, Marcus must keep up with his new savage curriculum while trying to maintain a moral code.
Not to mention, Marcus must not cop the feels for Saya Kuroki – the school’s resident badass who’s not interested in any bullshit. Her weapon of choice? A goddamn katana. Her vehicle of choice? A motorcycle.
Saya is played by the excellent Condor.
Avengers: Infinity War and Doctor Strange star Benedict Wong is Master Lin.
The Russo Brothers, siblings behind a lot of Marvel flicks, serve as executive producers.
Deadly Class will premiere January 26, 2019 on SYFY.
