On Friday, the crafty carillonneurs (that’s a fancy work for bell ringers) from what is arguably the coolest school in the country right now Sydney University made a zeitgeist-y audio reference to the one of the best five shows on television right now by ringing out the distinctive Game Of Thrones theme song on their bell towers.
Total whip drop moment.
The HBO show’s theme song was performed by resident bell tower maestro Isaac Wong who is part of a wider nimble fingered collective who have previously performed the likes of Hallelujah, the Australian national anthem and the theme song from Super Mario Bros.
