Splendour In The Grass Ticketing Bank Drama

UPDATE Westpac had advised it that “all credit card payment issues should now be resolved” and ticket sales on Moshtix are now working.

The good news is tickets to Splendour In The Grass 2011 went on sale today! YAAAYY! The bad news is, anyone trying to purchase a ticket online with a credit card (which, we’re guessing, is about 90 per cent of you) will hit a wall due to some kind of system “glitch”.

The following types of cards are currently effected by the issue:
Westpac VISA, MasterCard and Debit
St George
Heritage
Citibank
Suncorp
Cashcard
Jetstar

Splendour In The Grass released an official statement advising customers: “Please do NOT use these credit cards. They are causing delays in the system due to transaction rejections. Moshtix have now switched to a different bank gateway and sales should improve soon.”

Word on the web is that using a Smart Phone or an Android Phone to purchase tickets is the way to go… but if I were you I would enter our Splendour In The Grass competition as a back up plan.

SEGUE.
