Snoop Dogg Snags Selfie With Local Firefighters, Lives Out Childhood Dream

After being called out on a false alarm to a Melbourne hotel, a handful of local firefighters caught the attention of one Snoop Dogg/Lion/Zilla.

It’s not every day that one of the most successful musicians on the planet goes out of their way to snag selfies with mere mortals. However when they do they might as well reveal something like Snoop did. That he always wanted to be a firefighter.

MFB South Melbourne Senior Station Officer Trevor Bowen confirmed that Snoop had approached them for photos. “While we were there a very famous guy said to us that he had always wanted to be a firefighter and he asked if he could get a photo with us, and of course we knew who it was, and we obliged.”

Kinda hard to imagine from one of the guys who pioneered the Up In Smoke Tour. Oh well, you know what they say. Where there’s smoke…

“He said he was out for the Big Day Out, very nice, very friendly, and if you didn’t know who he was you’d just think he was a normal guy who was having a really happy chat with us … The coolest part of it was that he asked us for the photo which we gladly obliged.”

Trevor also took the opportunity to remind revellers of the importance of fire safety: “This is an opportune time to make sure you have a correctly fitted, working smoke alarm in your room”.

On ya Trev.
