This one could be a bit of a long shot, but it seems that Serena Williams may have casually revealed the sex of her good mate Meghan Markle‘s baby, thanks to a slip of the tongue during a recent E! News interview.

The tennis star, whose daughter Alexis Ohanian Jr will be turning two this year, was asked to give some advice to new parents, and responded: “Accept mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect. We put so much pressure on ourselves.”
Things got interesting when Williams went on to talk about a friend of hers who is currently pregnant with what would seem to be her first child. She said:
“My friend is pregnant, and she was like, ‘My kid’s gonna do this,’ [and] I just looked at her like, ‘No, she’s not. No, you’re not. She was like, ‘I need to talk to you about tips,’ because, yes, I had all of those high expectations.”
Now, yeah, Serena Williams surely has a lot of friends, and who knows how many of them might be pregnant at the moment, but she does have one very, very famous friend,whose wedding she attended last year, and who is expecting her first child at some point fairly soon.
If this ‘friend’ is indeed Meghan Markle, and “no she’s not” refers to the baby, then it would certainly seem that the Duchess of Sussex is having a girl.

That said, the blue gift could have been a giant misdirect, or maybe Meghan Markle just doesn’t subscribe to that all that blue-for-boys, pink-for-girls stuff in the first place. WE JUST HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING, I guess is what I’m really saying here.
The takeaway here is that Meghan Markle will be having a baby at some point, and that baby will be either a boy or a girl. So there you have it.
