Sam Smith Has A Sick New Tat Representing Their Non-Binary Identity And Now I Wanna Get Inked

Sam Smith, who we absolutely adore, has revealed their brand new tattoo about nonbinary identity, and it’s beautiful. Am I surprised that Smith has taste? Nope. Do I now have the itch to get a cute little tat for myself? You better believe I do.

Friends, it is absolutely tattoo season. How do I know this? Well, just check your calendar. If you see numbers, that’s a good indicator that it’s time to ink up. I don’t make the rules, it’s just fact.

Adding to the list of impeccable celebrity tattoos, Sam Smith has gone and inked one of the smartest little pics I’ve ever seen on a person’s body.

Smith popped down to The London Social Tattoo, where they were inked by the super attractive Miles Langford. Two impossibly beautiful people in one room? Oh to be a tattoo-loving fly on the wall.

“ICON,” Langford wrote as the caption for his cute pic with Smith.

“Thanks for getting tattooed. Swipe to see Sam’s new tattoo and for a good time.”

And the good time mentioned is just another cute pic. My heart, it explodes.

To save you from scrolling over to the next pic in the gallery, here’s the stunning tattoo in question, which features a person wearing high heels, but looking into a mirror that doesn’t quite reflect that back onto them.

Not to go too deep into art appreciation, but it’s a beautiful representation of not seeing yourself reflected in the world, and also not seeing yourself in your own reflection. Some parts of us are hidden, even to us. It’s truly the perfect representation of being non-binary and coming to terms with your identity over time.

I give it 11 out of 10 chef’s kisses.

This tat has probably been a long time coming for Smith, too, as they came out as being non-binary back in late 2019.

“Today is a good day so here goes,” they wrote on Twitter.

“I’ve decided I am changing my pronouns to THEY/THEM. After a lifetime of being at war with my gender, I’ve decided to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out…”

Sam, we love your tattoo and we love you. I know you released a whole album in 2020, but please, release more, thanks.
