Ryan Reynolds has spoken up about his and Blake Lively‘s habit of giving each-other shit on social media, saying that the near-constant trolling is a sign of a healthy relationship.
The actor stopped by for a chat with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, a day after Blake Lively displayed her new baby bump on the red carpet, and explained the secret to their marriage.

When asked about the pair’s habit of sending each-other snarky Tweets and Instagram posts to commemorate special occasions, Reynolds said:
“Oh yeah, we do [that] once in a while. It’s kind of like what my dad used to say, ‘If you can’t say anything nice, say something embarrassing.’ That’s how we roll …I think it’s a sign of a healthy relationship, personally. I do, yeah.”
When asked if it ever gets him into trouble, he said
“I don’t really know. I think people kind of know [it’s a joke]… it gets me in trouble at home but, you know, I can handle that.”
It all began back in 2016, with a birthday Tweet from Ryan Reynolds to his wife:
Just want to wish Billy Ray Cyrus the most special, magical birthday ever. I love you with all my heart. Also, Happy Birthday to my wife.
