Ryan Reynolds Did A Makeup Tutorial So You Too Can Look Like Detective Pikachu

Detective Pikachu means Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Reynolds means more absolutely quality content. But this isn’t Deadpool so instead of cheeky R-rated promotional material, Reynolds has filmed a wholesome ‘Get Ready With Me’ video, the Pika Edition. It is simply the best makeup tutorial on YouTube.

From the disgustingly hyped “Hey guys!” to the exceptional attention to detail, Reynolds shows you how to turn yourself into Detective Pikachu. Turns out, all you need is a black stencil from whatever movie studio is closest to you, a couple of dots on the ol’ face, and then you send your lovely face to an “Oscar-winning visual effects company who can render the final product using multi-million dollar technology.”

It’s that easy!

Earlier today, Blake Lively surprised everyone when she rocked up to the New York City premiere of Detective Pikachu sporting a baby bump. The little one will be the couple’s third child together, joining 4-year-old daughter James and her two-year-old sister Inez.

Lively is a goddess.

The film kicks off with the disappearance of private eye Harry Goodman, prompting his son Tim (Justice Smith) to investigate with the help of Harry’s former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu. With their unique ability to understand each other, Tim and Pikachu set out to solve the mystery in Ryme City – the thriving metropolis where people and Pokémon live in harmony.

Ken Watanabe (Memoirs of a Geisha, Inception, Godzilla) also stars in the film as does Kathryn Newton (Lady Bird, Big Little Lies).

At the time of writing, the film is sitting on a 71 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 28 critic reviews. You can check out what the blue ticks are saying right HERE
