WATCH: ‘True Detective Pikachu’ Is A Mashup Which Simply Should Not Exist

Now, I have no specific qualms with what freaks on the internet elect to do. That’s their prerogative, and I’ll be damned if I’ll stop them.

But I must speak out and say that this mashup of True Detective and Detective Pikachu, made by YouTube channel Sam & Bill Comedy, should never have seen the light of day. The nightmarish photorealism of Detective Pikachu is hellish enough without bringing the drawling Southern Gothic sensibilities of True Detective season one into the equation.

But they’ve gone and done it, haven’t they?
