Russell Brand has copped to doing a lot of highly questionable things while off his face, but during a recent appearance on James Corden‘s Late Late Show, he admitted to one of his deepest, darkest secrets.
According to Brand, at the height of his methamphetamine-induced depravity, he somehow decided it would be an excellent idea to audition for the wholesome, well-scrubbed Brit boyband 5ive.
As Corden pointed out, if the audition had gone well, Brand could have filled of the role of the maverick, dark horse boyband member who doesn’t play by the rules …
The audition did not go well, however, as the comedian turned up with a cheap lager and belted out a few bars of Extreme‘s ‘More Than Words‘, and it all went downhill from there. Let him explain:
