Quentin Tarantino Shares His Top 11 Films Of 2011

Need a ready made primer for the films you may have missed last year? Look no further than Quentin Tarantino’s “Official Top Eleven of 2011”, a list which doles out equal props to blockbuster genre excursions, buzzy Oscar contenders and critically acclaimed art house films. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the flicks which share tenth place on his list, silent film throwback and current Best Picture frontrunner The Artist and middling Paul Rudd ensemble comedy Our Idiot Brother. You crazy for this one Quentin.

At the top, Woody Allen’s Midnight In Paris nabs first place followed by surprisingly well received Planet Of The Apes reboot Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, baseball drama Moneyball, Pedro Almodovar psychological thriller The Skin I Live In and Marvel origin story, X-Men: First Class.

The honourable mentions are also worth a look, as are the eclectic recipients of his tongue in cheek “Nice Try Award”, a category which ranks the biggest mistake of Hugh Jackman’s career alongside the stylish Ryan Gosling vehicle most critics could agree to liking. We don’t even know what to think anymore.
