Meghan & Harry Were Secretly Married Three Days Before Their ‘Spectacle’ Of A Royal Wedding

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a secret wedding three days before the big, glitzy, royal wedding extravaganza.

It’s the first of hopefully many juicy revelations Meghan made to Oprah Winfrey, as part of her much-touted tell-all interview.

Three days before the royal wedding, Meghan and Harry got married in their backyard, just them and the priest.

“Nobody knows that,” Meghan said. “We called the archbishop and we just said, ‘Look ― this thing, this spectacle is for the world.”

The couple were married in May 2018, at a wedding attended by Oprah, George and Amal Clooney, Victoria and David Beckham, Idris Elba, Elton John, Meghan’s Suits co-stars, and of course the royal family.

However, Meghan revealed they were legally married by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, a few days earlier.

She also said that rather than making Kate Middleton – a.k.a. the Duchess of Cambridge – cry shortly before the wedding, the opposite was true.

“The reverse happened,” Meghan said.

The reported story was that Meghan had made Kate cry over her strict flower girl demands. But according to Meghan, after Kate made her cry, Kate took accountability, apologised, and bought her flowers.

(Did you catch all that? I hope so!)

This interview isn’t airing until tonight in Australia, but here’s how to watch the huge huge interview tonight.
