Pickup Artist Book ‘The Game’ To Become Film

Investigative journalist Neil Strauss wrote The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists, the seminal non-fiction text about the inside world of the “seduction community”. The book gives an insight into this intriguing real life sub-culture, whose leader (known only as ‘Mystery’) takes Strauss through a seduction bootcamp: providing corrective advice on his behaviors, body language, and what to say when approaching women. It’s a bestseller and several sleazy jerks have referenced it as being a “bible”, so unsurprisingly – much like the actual Bible, The Game is going to be adapted into a movie. Feck.

The last time a bestselling dating book was made into a movie the results were catastrophic…

According to The Playlist, the film version of The Game will be positioned as a “dating comedy” with Adam Sztykiel – the screenwriter behind Made Of Honor (such a clever pun that) and the new J-Lo movie Due Date – on board to pen the script. All we need now is Matthew McConaghy… or even better: Doctor McDreamy from Gray’s Anatomy. Someone really “charming”. A suit wearing smooth talker.
Or maybe even this guy, the creator of Australia’s most results-driven School of Attraction:
