Oz Cult Classic The Castle To Screen In Cinemas For Australia Day

In a temperature regulated activity option more distinctly Australian than fighting Bob Hawke, four members of Powderfinger and an emu for the last can of VB while reciting Wake In Fright dialogue, one of the most quotable Australian films ever written, The Castle, will be screened at Event Cinemas throughout the country this Australia Day long weekend.
The peerless Working Dog Productions cult classic follows the tribulations of the modest Kerrigan clan, a blue collar Melbourne family who live adjacent to the airport and are pressured into selling their beloved hot property – The Castle – by the authorities, instigating an impassioned ode to The Australian Dream and a Bud Tingwell assisted legal battle that goes all the way to the High Court of Australia.
The Castle stars Michael Caton, Anne Tenney, Stephen Curry and Eric Bana and will be screening on Sunday January 26th and Monday January 27th.
Tickets are $10 for Event Cinemas Cine Buzz Members and $12 for everyone else. Tickets are available now at www.eventcinemas.com.au
