A virus transmitted via performing oral sex has now been established as a bigger cause of throat cancer than some tobacco.
The human papilloma virus, spread during unprotected sex, is the suggested culprit and is said to be responsible for the rapid rise in deadly oral throat cancers. A study in Sweden during the 1970s discovered that a quarter of throat related cancers were due to HPV, the statistic now has risen to an alarming 90%.
While this might be devastating to the promiscuous, high school girls are said to be relieved.
