We’ve entered the phase of the college admissions cheating scandal when “sources” close to the action are telling their stories to the tabloids, and if said sources are to be believed, disgraced YouTube star Olivia Jade is not very happy with her parents right now.

Per a report in news and current affairs publication Us Weekly, Jade – who has lost lucrative endorsement deals with TRESemmé, and Estée Lauder and Sephora – had initially hoped to “shrug off” the scandal, thinking it would “pass after a week”, but this clearly did not happen.

The source went onto say that she “blames her mom and dad for the downfall of her career”, adding:

“Now that her endorsement deals have fallen through, she is very upset with her parents. Olivia didn’t even show interest in going to college, she wanted to take time and work on her beauty career, but her parents were the ones who wanted her to get an education.”

There are a lot of things to unpack there, but let’s just say that definitely makes sense.

Olivia Jade and her parents, actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, are said to be “laying low” and in communication only with their lawyers as the fallout from the cheating scandal continues.

Earlier in the week, the University of Southern California announced that students who cheated their way into the school may have their degrees revoked, while current students suspected of being involved in the scheme are unable to register for classes or receive transcripts.
