NYPD Held Gus Fring At Gunpoint + Watch A New Breaking Bad Trailer

The first half of the final season of Breaking Bad (needlessly drawn-out, I know) is still one month away, so going by the current model of how to market a highly-anticipated film or television event, we’ve got exactly eight more teaser trailers to get through before that fateful date arrives. But first!

Gothamist have noted (via an interview in The Wrap) that Giancarlo Esposito, the actor who perfected the sociopathic smile of Albuquerque’s one time meth king-pin Gus “I Will Kill Your Infant Daughter” Fring, was recently stopped and frisked by the NYPD and held at gunpoint after leaving rehearsals for his off-Broadway play ‘Storefront Church.’

Esposito told The Wrap that after the police recognised him from his appearance on televisual fairy-tale “Once Upon A Time” they put their guns away. Luckily, unlike Fring – who probably would have poisoned all the coffee in NY – Esposito sounds a little more forgiving after a disturbing case of mistaken identity and racial profiling (their suspect was wearing a hoodie, Esposito was wearing a suit), saying: “I refuse to walk around, carrying that sack of racist crap. Luis Buñuelmade great movies. And in all his movies there’s one old guy… who walks through the background with a big pillowcase, a sack of shit. That’s your stuff. So when I’m healing, I’m healing my stuff.”

And for making it this far, teaser two for season five, in which Walt is not in danger, he is THE DANGER:

Just in case: SPOILER ALERT if you haven’t seen the end of season four.
