WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD! DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T CAUGHT UP WITH SEASON FOUR OF BREAKING BAD!
When Gus’ face fell off in the explosive (literally) conclusion to the fourth season of AMC’s Breaking Bad, the writers didn’t have to look far for his replacement. Last year, Walter White’s series long arc from desperate, downtrodden punching bag to “the one who knocks”, murders and laughs maniacally beneath his floorboards and does questionable things with his knowledge of horticulture reached its ethical nadir with a calculated act of evil which not even Tony Soprano would have contemplated. That’s the question of the entire series – where does Walt end and Heisenberg begin? We get a look at the latter in this initial sneak peek at Breaking Bad’s fifth season, in which our main man Saul meets up with Walt thinking he can just cut their ties whenever. Not true Saul!
“Breaking Bad” returns for the first installment of its final season July 15.
