Everyone’s New Fave Noah Centineo Has Another Netflix Romcom Coming Out

Peter Kavinsky, I mean Noah Centineo is undoubtedly the internet’s new boyfriend after his performance in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. In one day, the 22-year-old copped a million followers, no big deal.

As we all patiently wait for the sequel to be confirmed, Centineo has another Netflix extravaganza on its way and it’s a romcom.

Remember when we brought Sierra Burgess Is A Loser to your attention early last month? This is the one starring Barb from Stranger Things, otherwise known by her real name Shannon Purser.

This here is a modern day retelling of the 1987 play Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand and by ‘modern day retelling’ I mean Sierra Burgess catfishes a jock and then falls in love with him. And guess who plays the sweet jock, again? PETER KA- NOAH CENTINEO.

Not only does this film finally make Purser the lead character but Noah bloody Centineo.

The gist:

Sierra Burgess knows she’s smart and funny but she also knows she’s not like resident It Girl Veronica (Kristine Froseth) who treats her like shit ‘cos high-school’s a laugh. So when Sierra receives a text message meant for Veronica from very popular boy Jamey (Centineo) she plays along not thinking it’ll lead to anything.

But it does and Sierra finds herself setting up a time and date to Skype Jamey even though he think she’s someone else. So what does she do? Tell Veronica she’ll help her with her grades and in return, Veronica will join in on the catfishing fun.

It’s the only logical choice.

Unlike To All The Boys, it looks like Veronica ends up being a decent human being – well, the trailer makes me think so anyway. Instead of the usual petty sabotaging, there’s girl supporting girl so tick, tick, and tick.

Purser also wrote an original song for the film, proving once again, that she is beyond talented.

Not going to lie, I didn’t even realise Centineo was in this until I became very aware of his face from To All The Boys.

This Is Us star Chrissy Metz, Rj Cyler, and Alan Ruck co-star.
