Netflix Renews ‘House Of Cards’ For Third Season

Netflix has confirmed that they’ve picked up a third season of the Machiavellian romantic comedy House of Cards, despite the show’s initial two-season order. According to Deadline, Netflix have reneged on their initial statement that the show would be limited to two readily-consumed drops, with the network’s Ted Sarandos saying, “Our intent is that the show keep going for sure. It was a 26-episode commitment. It was not our intent that it just run for two seasons.” Not complaining tho.

Season two of the streaming service’s excellent Capitol Hill drama begins next week on Valentine’s Day. Because nothing says ‘I love you’ like Kevin Spacey’s bloody ambition, Robin Wright’s Golden Globe-winning, flawless steez and savvy bloggers operating a successful news venture out of beanbags.
