Congratulations to Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom for the birth of their first child – a boy – who was born on Saturday weighing a pretty massive 4.5 kilos or almost 10 pounds. There’s a couple of pieces of info we’re now playing the waiting game on.
Firstly, which surname will the baby be given? Miranda has held onto her maiden name since marrying Orlando in a secret ceremony on the 22nd of July 2010. Does this mean their offspring could be looking at a hyphenated name? I hope they go for Kerr-Bloom. It’s the perfect name for a future Grade 5 water bomb champion.
The other information we’re waiting on is the baby’s first name. Will they go the classic naming route or go for something modern? With Miranda’s passion for all things organic and Orlando’s casual approach to facial hair maintenance, I’m guessing it’s going to get named after some phenomenon of nature such as Stream or a biodegradable organism a la Apple Martin.
