Matt Damon Will Play Jason Bourne One More Time

Fans of stylishly-rendered movie violence, moral ambiguity and shattered bones, today is your lucky day – Matt Damon has officially signed on to reprise the role of troubled secret agent Jason Bourne.
Vulture report that Damon will again team up with Paul Greengrass – director of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum – for a brand new film in the series, due for release in 2016.
It was actually Damon’s ol’ buddy ol’ pal Ben Affleck who initially confirmed the deal to the media, saying that the role had come along just as his friend had “completely lost any semblance of physical fitness.”
When Damon declined to come back for the Tony Gilroy-directed The Bourne Legacy, the focus of the films shifted to another secret agent, played by Jeremy Renner.
It is unknown at this point whether he will return in some capacity, possibly for a tortured, repressed memory-fueled stare-off of some sort with Matt Damon.
