In 2007, Matt Damon declared himself to be done with the Bourne franchise, saying, with the release of The Bourne Ultimatum, that “there’s no way we can trot out the same character” because “the story’s been told.”
Something’s obviously changed, because a decade after his last appearance, following on from one so-so attempt to continue the series with Jeremy Renner, he’s back in familiar role again.
The teaser for Jason Bourne, the fifth entry in the saga, dropped during the Super Bowl, and sees a buffed-up Damon returning to the series along with original director Paul Greengrass.
The teaser is suitably enigmatic, but sees a punchy, determined Matt Damon come back with literal guns blazing. Enjoy:
