Singer, actress and new Duchess of Barangaroo Mariah Carey has come under fire from her older brother Morgan Carey, who describes her as “an evil witch”. He’s going her for not providing any financial assistance to help their sick sister, Alison, a former sex worker who is HIV-positive.
“She probably spends more on dog food than it would cost to make sure her sister gets properly cared for,” he told British newspaper The Sun. Mariah is worth an estimated $670 million.
Mariah and Alison have reportedly not spoken to one another in four years. Morgan reportedly hasn’t spoken to her either, and wasn’t informed about her engagement to Australian billionaire James Packer. He was pretty excoriating on that, too:
“I don’t even think Mariah is in love with James, she’s only in love with herself. She is evil. She has always been that way. It’s her £5 million engagement ring she is in love with.”
For her part, Alison – who has copped some (seemingly undeserved) criticism for just being after cash – was pretty firm on what she wants. “Decisions I’ve made in my life have hurt my children,” she said. “We don’t have enough food. I haven’t been able to pay the rent this month.”
Tough situation. Apparently spokespeople for Mariah, who is prepped and ready to start filming a reality show about her life, did not comment on her brother’s allegations.
