Man Walks Blindfolded Between Two Skyscrapers, Survives

In a feat of daredevilry so daredevilish that we can barely even begin to comprehend it, high wire artist and balls of steel-haver Nik Wallenda has completed a tightrope walk between a pair of Chicago skyscrapers while blindfolded and without the aid of a safety harness.
Yeah, just take a minute to let that sink in. That queasy sensation you’re experiencing right now? That’s your entire goddamn life flashing before your eyes.
The event was streamed live on the Discovery network (with a 10 second delay for … fairly obvious reasons) and the full video has not been released yet, but you can watch a few moments of it here:

Complex report that, over the course of Sunday evening, Wallenda actually completed two separate walks between skyscrapers, and each one broke a world record.
The first of these was for the “steepest incline for a tightrope walk between two buildings,” at 19 degrees. The second was for the “highest blindfolded walk at more than 500 feet above the ground.”
Wallenda comes from the well-known Flying Wallendas family of daredevils, and has previously completed tightrope walks across Niagara Falls, and a gorge just outside Grand Canyon National Park.
After his latest feat of skill and /or insanity, Wallenda told media that his skyscraper walk was “mentally draining”, to which all we can really say is NO SHIT.
