MAFS fans have spent the last week or so trying to figure out which brides and grooms have access to their Instagrams again and which ones are still waiting to be given back the keys to the kingdom by the producers. Well I can tell ya this fucken’ much, Jason Engler definitely has control of his Instagram again and he’s wasted no time in being an absolute dick.
Last night, the disgraced MAFS star shared a wanky-ass pic of him in a pool and have a go at the caption, will ya?
“If you ran as much as your mouth, you’d be in great shape,” he wrote.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d still think it was a vile caption, but coupled with the video he shared about fellow MAFS groom Liam Cooper, it’s even more disgusting.
To refresh your memory, an Instagram video recently leaked that showed Jason Engler going on a biphobic and fat-shaming rant about bisexual groom Liam Cooper.
In the video, Jason says “Georgia’s husband is a full blown homosexual. He’s ugly, he’s chubby, he does not go to the gym.”
This sparked major backlash against Jason, rightfully so, and given this is perhaps his first post since receiving access to his Instagram again, the timing seems very suss.
MAFS groom Liam Cooper recently shared his thoughts on the video in a post to Instagram, writing: “People need to know that this video IS a form of bullying. It’s fat-shaming and it IS homophobic and Biphobic! The type of behaviour shown in this video can start eating disorders, affect someone’s mental health or feel like they can’t come out and express their sexuality because of uneducated people.
“To set the record straight, I am BISEXUAL! Just because I don’t have a deep voice or conform to the typical ‘Australian man’ does not mean that I am gay. Because of this, I continually get asked ‘so are you gay or straight?’ or ‘surely you must like men more, you can’t be attracted to both’. Let’s start accepting everyone for who they are instead of questioning it!”
It’s also worth noting that Jason Engler offered a half-assed apology back when the video first popped up.
“I would like to sincerely apologise for my comments in regards to a fellow MAFS participant’s sexuality,” he said in a lame-ass statement to Daily Mail Australia.
“After a few too many drinks I made some inappropriate remarks that I am ashamed of and greatly regret. I will learn from this and try to become a better person from this experience.”
Good to know he’s a sincere man of his word, aye?
