Kylie Jenner threw a first birthday party for her daughter Stormi Webster today, and even by Kardashian standards, it was a wildly opulent affair, with personalised cookies and cakes, carnival rides and an appearance by every parent’s worst nightmare, Baby Shark.
If you didn’t happen to be at the event – and clearly you weren’t, because your agent is not working as hard as Baby Shark’s – then don’t despair, as Kylie Jenner shared a heap of photos to her Instagram stories, so we can all go on this journey together.
The carnival-themed event was called Stormiworld, and the decor paid homage to Travis Scott and his album Astroworld – guests walked into the party through the mouth of what looks like a giant-sized balloon of Storm’s face, which is either insanely cool or a little macabre, maybe both.
There was also a carnival game where guests could throw balls into what looks like a cutout of Stormi’s open mouth, and yeah, I might go with a little macabre.
Guests drank out of Stormiworld-branded cups and ate french fries out of pink Louis Vuitton-style cartons on which the LV logo was replaced with SW.
There were also cookies with Stormi’s face, which is cute as heck.
Kylie Jenner herself seemed to have a rare moment of being starstruck when she met Baby Shark.
DJ Khaled was also there because what’s a party without this bloke?
I don’t know what’s going on here but I fear for this person’s safety.
In a post following the festivities, Kylie said “I had to go all out for my baby,” and yeah, you can’t really argue with that. Happy birthday, Stormi, may your next celebration be even more elaborate than this one.
