Actress Kristen Bell, also known as the disembodied voice of ‘Gossip Girl‘*, has finally shared pics of her 2013 wedding to Dax Shepard, and it is the very embodiment of low-key: it cost a grand total of US $142 ($188) and took place in the Beverly Hills courthouse.
“We got married in a tiny room in the Beverly Hills courthouse and it was still one of the best days of my life,” she told CBS‘s Sunday Morning news show, making an extremely strong case for an extremely budget wedding.

Bell and Shepard got engaged in 2010, but put off actually tying the knot till same-sex marriage was legal. “The reality is that it [same-sex marriage] doesn’t affect us or anyone else who thinks that it affects them, but we do have a choice to wait and take a stance for what we believe in, and we do both sleep easier at night knowing that we stand up for this,” she said in an interview at the time.
“He’s a wonderful father,” she said, and when asked to clarify, went on: “He knows the value of things. He was an addict for many, many years and he pulled himself out of it, and he’s been sober for 11 or 12 years now. And he knows how many times he’s messed up and how many times he’s been really closing to losing everything.”
