Looks like the turmoil in Kourtney Kardashian‘s life isn’t just family related as she and her bae Younes Benjima have reportedly called it quits after nearly two years of dating.
An insider confirmed the heartbreaking goss to E! News, revealing that the pair have experienced a series of “ups and downs” since returning from their ~romantic~ Italian getaway.
“Kourtney and Younes have been arguing since coming back from their big Italy trip and have truly not been getting along,” the source told the publication.
The insider adds that the pair “decided to take time apart but ultimately it led to a split.”
Younes, 25 was also recently photographed getting cozy with Jordan Ozuna in Mexico.
“Kourtney is upset but she is trying to focus her energy on other things and stay busy,” the source continued. “Kourtney doesn’t plan on calling attention to it publicly and wants everything to blow over. It’s upsetting to her.”
“They have been having ups and downs for the past month. There was a huge chance they were going to get back together and they were working on things. But now that these photos surfaced, things are definitely over.”
Younes has since confirmed the news to be correct by commenting on an Instagram post that reported the split by Daily Mail.
“They really want me to be the bad guy,” he wrote with a series of laughing emojis. “Fuck your Hollywood bullshit (cant have fun with your friends no more).” He then added, “dailymail Where are my 12 other friendssss? Nice catch tho.”
His attack on Hollywood follows reports that he hated being in the spotlight which caused a strain on his and Kardashian’s relationship.
Both have since unfollowed each other on social media.
While I’m devo for Kourt, the breakup doesn’t come as much of a shock as the pair briefly split up and unfollowed each other earlier this year and have since reportedly been arguing about the reality star’s bikini selfies.
An insider close to the sitch tells PEOPLE that Younes was never a fan of Kardashian’s sexy Instagram snaps and he wants her to “cover up” and *insert eye roll*.
“He never liked that she posted sexy pictures of herself on social media. He doesn’t want his girlfriend to do that. He gets that it’s her job, but wants her to post more covered up picture,” says the source.
The source adds, “He has always had a problem with this. This is the stuff they argue about and what made them split in the past.”
Prediction: Scott Disick and Sofia Richie will be toast before ya know it and Kourto and Scotto will get back together.
