Kevin Spacey Awarded Honorary Knighthood In Queen’s Birthday Honours

It’s fair to say that the Prime Minister has a lot to learn from Queen Elizabeth II.

Her expertly honed face of disapproval being one; her selection of knights—albeit honorary—being another.
As part of the Queen’s birthday celebrations this weekend, over 1000 people were awarded recognition for their work: in the music and entertainment categories, both Kevin Spacey and Van Morrison received honorary knighthoods for their services to culture and music respectively.
Spacey has been working as an artistic director at London’s Old Vic Theatre for ten years, all while regularly crushing your soul during his portrayal as Frank Underwood on Netflix’s ‘House of Cards’.
I feel like an adopted son,” Spacey said about his connection to the UK, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Among the honourees was also Eddie Redmayne, who was awarded Officer of the Order of the British Empire; actor Chiwetel Ejiofor and newly-made DILF Benedict Cumberbatch each received a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
Kevin Spacey as an honorary Knight? Ne’er were a more appropriate Sir.
 Arise, Sir Underwood. :’)

Meanwhile, TFW when your country “knights” someone worthy of the honour.
