It was recently revealed that international pop star Katy Perry would be appearing on Australian MasterChef this season as a guest judge.
Considering the pregnant singer got (USD)$25 million for her judging role on American Idol, a pay packet that got a lot of folks talking over in the States, one would assume that her stint on the cooking series would’ve cost Network 10 a pretty penny.
According to local gossip mag New Idea, the songstress earned herself a whopping $100,000 for her role as a guest judge.

“She took a day out of her busy schedule to film MasterChef under a military-like veil of secrecy,” the publication’s source revealed.
“The judges and contestants couldn’t believe their eyes when pop superstar Katy strode into the MasterChef kitchen.”
TV Blackbox reports that Perry will star in an episode that involves an immunity challenge based on her song ‘Hot N Cold’, which has been the opening theme song of the series for the past 11 seasons.
“What makes the MasterChef Australia kitchen so special? The fact that ANYTHING can happen! Cue Katy Perry serving us pop star realness and a dose of honest food-loving opinion as guest judge. A day that won’t be forgotten soon, that’s for sure,” new judge Melissa Leong gushed.
MasterChef is currently airing on Channel 10.
