Well this is… gross.
Johnny Depp‘s lawyers have claimed that Amber Heard, who filed for divorce from the actor last Monday, is only making claims of domestic violence in a bid for his money.
“Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse,” Depp’s lawyer Laura Wasser wrote. “Her current application for a temporary restraining order along with her financial requests appears to be in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week after filing for divorce. Yet Johnny cannot protect himself or Amber from media scrutiny, and Amber’s anger certainly cannot drive this dissolution proceeding.”
In filing for the domestic violence restraining order, Heard declared that she is “extremely afraid of Johnny” and that his “relationship with reality oscillates depending on his interaction with alcohol and drugs.”
She also submitted a photo of her bruised face, which she alleges is from Depp slamming his iPhone into her face.

A temporary restraining order was granted on Friday, May 27.
While yes, we do not know the full story, certain media coverage has been downright foul.
