Jennifer Lawrence Denies Feud With Director David O Russell

Director David O Russell has a reputation for being somewhat volatile with his actors – we still sometimes watch the video of his legendary blow-up with Lily Tomlin on the set of I Heart Huckabees.
This weekend, there have been rumours circulating that Russell got into another such screaming match with Jennifer Lawrence on the Boston-based set of their newest film Joy.
On Friday, there were reports of a “loud argument” between the two. “David started screaming at her,” said an eye-witness. “It was ear-piercing and laced with profanity.”
Lawrence and Russell are old mates at this point, having worked together on Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, and overnight, she came out swinging in the face of the rumours.
“David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship,” she said, via Facebook. “I adore this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I’m having a blast making it!”
Couple of things:
1. We love the fact that J-Law uses the word ‘malarkey’
2. She didn’t flat-out deny the fact that Russell screamed at her, so maybe that’s just part of their working relationship
3. Seriously, ‘malarkey’
Joy also stars Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, and is due for release in December.
