Overnight, your girl Jennifer Lawrence found herself in the not-ideal situation of having to prove that she does, in fact, wash her hands after using the bathroom, after rumours spread to the contrary.
To be fair, it was J-Law herself who started the rumours; during a recent MTV interview, she claimed that she has poor bathroom hygiene in order to gross out her Hunger Games co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
Thanks to the internet (hi!), the rumour then snowballed to the point where the actress was forced to post video evidence of her familiarity with a bathroom sink, via her Facebook.
“Of course I wash my hands after going to the bathroom!” she wrote in the accompanying post. “I can’t believe I’ve put myself in a situation where I even have to say that.”
What a time to be alive.
I hate talking to the Internet but I can’t get asked another question about my hygiene on this press tour. I told MTV I didn’t wash my hands after going to the bathroom because I was trying to gross out Josh and Liam and I ended up grossing out the world. Of course I wash my hands after going to the bathroom! (I can’t believe I’ve put myself in a situation where I even have to say that.) Anyway with all the rumors I’ve ever heard about myself this is the one I really had to put to rest. -Jen
