It’s Voldermooor, not VoldemorT. Silent t.
JK Rowling says the T is silent in Voldemort. I need to go sit down.

A quick lesson in French from someone who failed it in high school: when in doubt, leave off the last letter. And ‘mort’ means ‘dead’ in French. Ergo, it’s pronounced ‘more’.
The old Stephen Fry / Jim Dale audiobooks used to pronounce it the c o r r e c t way, then Warner Bros. came along with their films and their budgets and fucked it right up.
DEAD / MORT, RIP.
