The Roller Coaster Nerds Are Out In Force Reviewing Disneyland’s Newest Ride

Who knew that there was this entire world of roller coaster nerds out there, who take their roller coastering extremely seriously? I mean don’t get me wrong, I love a good ‘coaster, and I will also happily use the term “‘coaster” in conversation as though it’s a normal term to be using and not, in fact, an extremely sad abbreviation – but there are people who seem to revolve their lives around the latest and greatest ‘coasters. Which like fair enough – roller coasters are fun and great and a life spent riding them is not too shabby in my opinion.

Anyway, said roller coasterers were absolutely out in force over the weekend, because Disneyland opened a new ride, the Incredicoaster.

It’s technically NOT entirely new – it replaces the California Screamin’ rollercoaster in Disney’s California Adventure Park. Obviously, it’s Incredibles-themed to tie in with Incredibles 2, which was released last weekend. While the ‘coaster (see, I’m totally getting away with it) is essentially the same loops and twists, it features new special effects, music, and new scenes.

Reviews are mixed, and seem to centre around the time of day you go and whether the music is playing.

Here’s what it looks like at night btw.

IDK about the haters, I’m keen as shit for that G-Force start business and the blue-lit track.
