To everyone else in the world he’s Drake – rapper, musician, general entertainer. But to everyone in Drake’s hometown of Toronto, he’ll forever be Wheelchair Jimmy, the character portrayed by Aubrey Graham on Degrassi: The Next Generation.
And in Toronto now, there’s visual reminders going up across the city to prevent the memory of Wheelchair Jimmy from being overtaken by that of Drake. One exceedingly clever person has been making stickers of Drake’s head and affixing them to wheelchair and disabled public signs all over Toronto. Though the prank was anonymous for a short while, it turns out that journalist/blogger Lauren O’Neil and her boyfriend are the culprits/newly minted best people in the world. Check out their handiwork.

Jimmy, of course, found himself in a wheelchair after being paralysed by a gunshot fired on him by Rick, who had been bullied and pushed too far. It’s one of the most shocking and memorable moments in Degrassi history.
