It’s almost June folks, and June means two very important things – it’s my birthday, and a whole bunch of new shit gets loaded onto your favourite time suck, Netflix. I very much doubt you want to hear me moan about turning 30, so let’s just cover off the latter, shall we?
Marvel‘s Luke Cage is returning for its second season on June 22 and it looks set to be a total beatdown of a time. Check out the trailer below, which shows that Cage may not be the invulnerable machine of brute force he thought he was.
I also really enjoy how the title font is the same as Duke Nukem 3D‘s.

Netflix Original Glow is also returning for a second season, available from June 29. Featuring Community‘s Alison Brie, the 80s-drenched wrestling comedy will suplex you into stitches of laughter. Suss the trailer below.
Sense8 is also back for its final season on June 8, Shooter returns for a 3rd season on June 22, and Nailed It! season 2 will be available from June 29. A few more below:

Aussie legend Hannah Gadsby also has her standup show, Nanette, coming out on June 19 and if you ask me, it’s going to be a bloody laugh riot. Definitely check out the trailer for this one.
For all you true crime nerds out there, insanely hyped doco series The Staircase hits the platform on June 8. Made by the folks behind Making a Murderer, the series follows the death of Kathleen Peterson and whether her husband was to blame.
In terms of movies, there’s some decent ones getting a go next month, like WWII epic, Dunkirk, psychological horror, Black Swan, and romantic comedy, Bridget Jones’s Baby. Other movies include:
